Great opportunity: precision welder (Alaska)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a precision welder in Skagway Municipality, Alaska. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Your main tasks: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Full-time, day shift.
