Safety officer • Lee County, Iowa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a safety officer in Lee County, Iowa. The job is at an oil and gas facility. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Your main tasks: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
