Scaffolding charge hand — Naugatuck Valley Planning Region

Great opportunity: we are hiring a scaffolding charge hand in Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is on an industrial refinery shutdown. On a typical shift you will plumb the standards and level the ledgers with a spirit level; fix transoms and bracing to keep the structure square and rigid; set out base plates and sole boards on firm, level ground; tighten right-angle and swivel couplers to torque with a podger spanner; dismantle the scaffold in reverse sequence and lower materials safely; inspect couplers, boards and tubes for damage before use. You should have: • Physically fit for repeated heavy lifting of tubes and boards • Knowledge of safe loading, bracing and tie patterns At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
