Immediate opening: we are hiring a stone mason in Alexander County, Illinois. Day to day you will cut out sink and hob openings in worktops on site; shape edges, bullnoses and bevels with an angle grinder and profiling wheels; fix marble cladding to building facades with anchors and clamps; measure up and template countertops and floor areas before cutting; cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades; seal natural stone against staining with impregnating sealers. Ideal candidate: • Able to read measurements, templates and cutting lists • Own hand tools an advantage • Good eye for joints, levels and overall finish Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
