Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Beaufort County, North Carolina. The job is at a busy iron foundry. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings On the job you will handle: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant 5+ years on the tools preferred. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
