Elevator service technician wanted in Galveston County

Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Galveston County, Texas. You will work in a machine room on the rooftop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards On the job you will handle: • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches Six days a week, one day off.
