Great opportunity: RCC mason (Virginia)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a RCC mason in Rappahannock County, Virginia. You will be based at a ready-mix concrete plant. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout Ideal candidate: • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Meals and transport allowance provided.
