Backhoe loader operator • Shelby County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Shelby County, Iowa. On a typical shift you will excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
