Industrial sewing operator • Halifax County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Halifax County, Virginia. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. Day to day you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Six days a week, one day off. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
