Road roller operator wanted in East Dunbartonshire

We are recruiting: we are hiring a road roller operator in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. You will be based on an earthmoving and excavation site. Day to day you will top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; check for underground cables and services before digging. Ideal candidate: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Understanding of safe digging near underground services 6+ years on the tools preferred. £2,250 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
