Now hiring: garment machinist (Wisconsin)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. Your main tasks: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
