Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Pierce County, Wisconsin. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day to day you will weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding.
