Rebar worker — City of Staunton

Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar worker in City of Staunton, Virginia. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level On the job you will handle: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
