Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather The role involves select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
