Day to day you will measure rope tension and check for broken strands; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; run load and overload tests with test weights. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring Full-time with occasional weekends.
