We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Morrison County, Minnesota. You will be based on a structural steel site. On a typical shift you will change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
