Rebar installer • Tompkins County, New York

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar installer in Tompkins County, New York. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Your main tasks: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer $220 per day plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
