Reinforcement fitter — Chautauqua County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Chautauqua County, New York. You should have: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Day to day you will lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions.
