Urgent requirement: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Grundy County, Iowa. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. You should have: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work The role involves run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control.
