Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Dutse, Jigawa State. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
