Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete finisher in Boone County, West Virginia. The job is on a road and bridge project. On the job you will handle: • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer You should have: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
