The role involves: • Knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting panels, bending and kneeling • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
