Fabricator-welder — Ontonagon County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Ontonagon County, Michigan. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) You will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. 6+ years on the tools preferred. $120 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
