We are recruiting: we are hiring a finishing presser in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska. The job is at a garment factory. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day to day you will operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure.
