Tig welder — Grundy County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Grundy County, Tennessee. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Six days a week, one day off.
