Now hiring: power press operator (South Carolina)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a power press operator in Abbeville County, South Carolina. You will work on the press shop floor. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes The role involves: • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts Full-time with occasional weekends.
