Domestic gas engineer — Monroe County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Monroe County, Michigan. You will be based in customers' homes and kitchens. The role involves: • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate Requirements: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders 3+ years on the tools preferred.
