Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Columbia County, Georgia. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 4+ years on the tools preferred.
