Carpenter — Kiowa County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a carpenter in Kiowa County, Oklahoma. You will work in a cabinet-making workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions Requirements: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Full-time with occasional weekends.
