Shakeout operator wanted in Lebanon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
