Foundry worker — City and Borough of Wakefield

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day to day you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. £2,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
