Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Grant County, South Dakota. Day-to-day duties: • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Driving licence for travel between sites • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
