Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage The role involves mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge.
