Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Jefferson County, Iowa. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day to day you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel.
