Retail butcher — San Mateo County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a retail butcher in San Mateo County, California. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling On a typical shift you will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
