Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown On the job you will handle: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Full-time, day shift.
