We are recruiting: we are hiring a pressman in Hertford County, North Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Overtime paid at a premium rate.
