Now hiring: we are hiring a fast-fit technician in Gallatin County, Illinois. You will work in a tyre and puncture shop. The role involves: • Handle truck and bus tyres, including split-rim assemblies • Fit new tyres onto rims and seat the bead correctly • Torque the wheel nuts to spec with a torque wrench • Repair punctures with mushroom plugs and internal patches • Demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine • Check tread depth with a depth gauge and spot uneven wear What we are looking for: • Basic record-keeping and customer-facing skills • Awareness of workshop health and safety • Able to lift heavy car and truck tyres repeatedly Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
