The role involves check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules; present documents at weighbridges and check posts; top up AdBlue and refuel at scheduled stops; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock.
