Great opportunity: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Lane County, Kansas. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Day-to-day duties: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $2,500 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
