We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Greene County, Illinois. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On a typical shift you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
