We are recruiting: steel fixing chargehand (Florida)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Liberty County, Florida. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. On a typical shift you will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
