TIG welder • Jasper County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a TIG welder in Jasper County, Iowa. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces The role involves: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
