Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Western Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Your main tasks: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc Six days a week, one day off.
