Now hiring: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Windsor County, Vermont. The job is at a busy construction site. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather You will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; read lift plans and method statements before starting; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
