Gang bricklayer — Borough of Wigan

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Borough of Wigan, England. You will work on a busy housing site. What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On a typical shift you will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer £18 per hour plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
