Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Huron County, Michigan. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. The role involves thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance We offer $23 per hour plus benefits.
