Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Montgomery County, North Carolina. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. The role involves: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 5+ years on the tools preferred.
