Fabricator-welder — Tyrrell County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Tyrrell County, North Carolina. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
