Hoist operator wanted in City of Portsmouth

Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in City of Portsmouth, Virginia. The job is in a steel fabrication workshop. Day to day you will help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports. Ideal candidate: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts We offer $4,800 per month plus benefits.
